The Centre for Natural Healing and Meditation (CNHM) is a Non-profit Charitable institution (registered under the provisions of The Registration of Associations Act – Regd No. 8452) and a Non-Governmental Organisation (CSR No. N/1505). The Centre is dedicated in helping the community and guiding people towards a fuller, richer life and helping them improve their well-being through 1) Energy Healing, 2) Meditation and 3) awareness on spirituality.

6th Edition – Intercollege Short Film Competition 2022 – ‘’Lamour pou lanvironnman’’

After the success of the Intercollege Short Film Competition since 2016, the MFDC has now decided to embark younger students in this adventure through the Inter Primary School Short Film Competition. The MFDC is now coming with  the 1st Edition of the Inter Primary School Short Film Competition 2022 with the theme ‘’Lamour pou lafami’’.  As rightly said by Mahatma Gandhi: “Where there is love, there is life’’. This Film Competition is designed to give young students of  primary schools a chance, through their stories and perspective to show love in its different form, while discovering creativity and enhancing their artistic skills.

The deadline for submission of  registration form to participate in  Intercollege short film competition has been postponed to 5th May 2022

National Awareness Campaign On Gender Based Violence

‘Ki to Role – Zero violence Dan Lakaz’

After the remarkable success of the Editions of the Intercollege Film Competition since 2016, the MFDC is now launching the year 2021 Edition of the Intercollege Film Competition on GBV. This project will be implemented in collaboration with the CDM and FEMNET.  

 

This film Competition is designed to give young students a chance, through their stories and perspective, help the country to fight against GBV, while discovering and enhancing their skills as scriptwriters, filmmakers, actors, editors.

7 Day Challenge 2020 – 6th Edition

Further to the success of the 1st, 2nd ,3rd, 4th and 5th Editions of the 7 Day challenge, the Mauritius Film Development Corporation is launching the 6th Edition of the 7 Day challenge 2020. 

Filmmakers will have to produce a short film in Seven (7) days. The basic idea of the 7 Day Challenge Competition 2020 is – to write, produce and edit a short film in just one week using an assigned genre and theme given by the MFDC.

National Awareness Campaign on Child Abuse

‘Pa Touss Nou Zanfan!’

The main theme of this National Awareness Campaign is to shine a light on the realities of child abuse and bring the viewer face to face with the harsh and cruel world of physical or emotional abuse on children.

The slogan “Pa Touss Nou Zanfan!” was chosen because it reflects on the feelings that we want to emphasize when dealing with child abuse. ​

Bhojpuri Short Film Competition 2020 – 2nd Edition

Bhojpuri is a vibrant living language of Mauritius. With the advent of Indentured Labour Movement as from 2nd November 1834, a great movement of contract labour Girmitiya – was set in motion from India principally, from the Port of Kolkata, Vishakhapatnam, Madras and Mumbai. 

 

The great bulk however came from the Bhojpuri Belt of Bihar and U.P. Bhojpuri language has been one of the major channels of linguistic kaleidoscope of Mauritius. Bhojpuri has been and is a popular lingua franca of Mauritius…
