The Mauritius Film Development Corporation (MFDC) invites Mauritian photographers to help tell the island’s story through images that breathe cinema.
We seek photographs where light dances on landscapes, where places whisper stories, and where every frame captures the soul, mystery, and singular beauty of Mauritius, images that move beyond scenery to emotion, capable of seducing international filmmakers and calling them to create on our shores.
Selected works will be immortalised in a prestigious coffee table book to be launched in the context of the 40th Anniversary of the Mauritius Film Development Corporation. This is a collaborative, non-profit coffee table book to be distributed free of charge and not for sale. Its purpose is mainly to showcase our cinematic landscapes and local photographic talent. Photographers will not be remunerated, but all contributions will be fully acknowledged.
Those wishing to be part of this visual journey are kindly invited to express their interest by writing and sending their photographs to mauritiusfilm@intnet.mu.
Kindly note that the deadline for submission of photographs is 1st February 2026.
A panel of jury will curate the final selection, and its decision shall be final and irrevocable.
Once your photograph has been chosen, we’ll kindly ask you to complete a consent form.
