Regulations

As per the Regulations 2001, every film producer who intends to shoot a film in Mauritius is required to obtain prior approval from the Mauritius Film Development Corporation (MFDC).  The regulations set out the procedures for submitting applications, including details of the production, locations, equipment, and crew. Producers must also ensure compliance with all relevant laws, respect cultural and religious sensitivities, and adhere to any conditions specified by the MFDC or other competent authorities.
