🤝 THE MFDC FACILITATES DIALOGUE ON MAURITIUS’ AUDIOVISUAL DEVELOPMENT
The Mauritius Film Development Corporation (MFDC) recently facilitated a series of engagements between representatives of The Studio Group (TSG), Mediawan, Cote Ouest Distribution and key stakeholders in Mauritius, in line with its mandate to establish relationships with foreign and international persons or bodies for the promotion of film activities.
The delegation, comprising representatives from the UK/Canada, France and South Africa, was facilitated by MFDC in a series of engagements with key Mauritian stakeholders, including MTPA, SBM, MBC, Institut Français de Maurice, Mauritius Telecom, the Ministry of Arts and Culture, The Ministry of ICTI, Landscope Mauritius, EDB, the President of the Republic of Mauritius, and the Ministry of Housing and Lands.
The meetings provided an opportunity for TSG and Mediawan to present its vision and proposals relating to movie production infrastructure, skills development and potential audiovisual activities, with a view to positioning Mauritius as an audiovisual hub in the Indian Ocean.
MFDC continues to facilitate dialogue and connections between international industry stakeholders and Mauritius’ audiovisual ecosystem, supporting the continued development of the local film and audiovisual sector.
